The Good Ole American Dream
It’s finally, over.
While the 2016 Presidential election (fiasco) is now behind us. The outcome of Donald Trump being named the 45th President-elect, has left many Americans shook and in disbelief. After Trump claimed victory in many states that Sec. Hillary Clinton’s campaign failed to engage – the results came flooding in with a majority red map of the United States in favor and in support of a presidential candidate with no political experience, controversial behaviors and a questionable temperament.
Regardless of what people think of the President-elect, people should attempt to shift from a fearful mentality to a more optimistic one.
Let’s journey back to your early childhood days…do you remember your parents, teachers and or loved ones constantly ministering to you that “you can be anything you want to be”? Well, President-elect, Donald Trump has truly awakened the truthfulness to that statement. We all know the rhetoric about his experience and lack-there of… but, how can each of us learn from what we witnessed last night? How can we tap into our inner child and bring to fruition our biggest dreams. Allow the nay-sayers to stimulate your consciousness and propel you past your immediate obstacles. Don’t give up at the first sight of rejection, trouble, or personal state of being uncomfortable…because it’s in those moments that we grow, we persevere and we succeed.
So, to all those who woke up this morning and said “WTF”…here’s four words for you, in my Kendrick Lamar voice “We gon be alright”!
